Apartment 58

This 90m² apartment was renovated to house a young couple and is situated on the third floor of a four-story block of flats in a quiet suburban area of Athens. The particular renovation was very demanding since the client requested for an extra workout room and a WC. In order to achieve that, the existing planning layout was redesigned without corridors, an en-suite bathroom in the master bedroom and open-plan kitchen to ensure the sense of openness in the living room.
The granite “wood-like” tiles were used throughout the apartment floor to give a sense of continuity between spaces and create a warm base which contrasts with the whiteness of the walls. The suspended plasterboard structure in the kitchen along with the large ceramic marble plates and the cement-like surfaces complement the unique architectural interior design that transformed this apartment into a fully functional modern residence.
The bathroom and WC were designed with particular care to maximize functionality, visual comfort and a sense of enlargement. Hanging cabinets covered with mirrors, cement-like tiles that form sinks and embed linear lighting provide the required result.
