Olympion Apartment Building

The apartment building is situated in a suburban residential area and consists of five small apartments. The client who bought the site wanted to build an apartment building that would stand out to attract potential future buyers.
The aim was to design something unique while at the same time in respect with the surrounding context. Therefore, the building was somehow broken down into two discrete volumes that create a structural continuity with the adjacent blocks. In that way, the new building doesn’t overshadow the ones next to it and completes the site’s void as an urban suture healer.
Play with light and privacy is achieved by projecting and rotating the building’s floor volumes resulting in an urban sculptural overall form that achieves individual living conditions for every apartment.
White colour finish and wide glazed openings contribute to an elegant final design result which is highlighted by green roof tops that denote the building’s environmental character and identity.
