Taureau Rouge Meat Boutique

The idea of a meat boutique in Paris came from the desire of the client to create a landmark fine-meat butcher shop where people would be attracted to it.
The façade of the existing store was cladded with precast ceramic parts to form a geometrical pattern that marks the exterior identity of the boutique. Glazed foldable doors are enclosed within the clay pattern providing the ability to open up the shop and create an immediate connection with the pedestrians.
Inside the boutique, the black and white mosaic tile floor acts as a reminder of a French vintage era that comes in contrast with the futuristic illuminated grid ceiling. The red marble was chosen as an optical reference to raw beef meat while the red-neon bull-sign underlines the shop’s character by betraying its name. Black fridge meat-displays along with black glass finishes, vertical slat surfaces and golden details contribute to an elegant whilst aristocratic overall interior design.
